Banner companies There are hundreds of banner companies, so which do you choose ?? Well, I can't say unfortunately, what I can do is however is give you as much information as possible about these companies to at least give you a chance of picking the right one. If you've got a new site and what you need is hits, then I'd go for a banner exchange that gives a 1:1 ratio, this means that every time you show a banner on your page, YOUR banner is shown somewhere else on the Internet. There aren't many banner exchanges that give this ratio but they do exist, seek them out !! If you've got an established site and it's getting a reasonable amount of hits then I'd go for a big banner exchange, somebody like the Link Exchange or Smartclicks. Why ?? Simple, if you go with a small exchange, that has say 200 members, then your banner is only going to get shown on 200 sites out of the millions that are out there. If you go with one of the big companies then it's going to get shown on 1000's (provided of course that you're clocking up enough credits). The other advantage is that you can "target", this means that you can specify that you only want your banner displayed on sites similar to yours.
