Using existing animations on a banner
I've been asked a few times how to put an existing little animation, that you like the look of, on the end of your banner. This (briefly) is how you do it. Take this little chap here....

Funky

I want to put him on the left-hand end of my banner, which is yellow.

First of all open Gif Animator and Paintshop Pro so that you've got them side by side filling half the screen each. Open the little animation you want on your banner in Gif Animator, and import the banner as frame 1.

It's quite easy to then go through the little gif animation and alter the "left" and "top" settings so that our little chap is where we want him on the banner. The problem lies in the fact that the little chap has got a white background and our banner is yellow.

What you need to do, is open your banner into Paintshop Pro and using the eyedropper tool select the yellow banner colour. Then click on the second frame in your animation (the first frame containing the little chap), select the "Copy" tool (looks like two pieces of paper) and copy the frame of your animation. Go to Paintshop Pro and select "Edit" then "Paste As New Image". You've now got a single frame of your animation open in Paintshop Pro, fill the background of the single frame with yellow, then in Paintshop Pro select "Edit" then "Copy".

Go back to Gif Animator and "Paste" the frame back into Gif Animator (the paste tool looks like a suitcase with a piece of paper in front of it). You'll now have one frame with a yellow background. Click on the frame BELOW this frame and copy the settings to the frame you've just pasted, then DELETE the frame below the yellow backed one. Click on the next white backed frame and repeat the process until all the frames in the animation have the same colour background as the banner. This is how it looks.

Funky 2

Sorry that's so complicated, but I've yet to find an easier way, if anybody knows of one please let me know !!
